A: Orders must be charged on a major credit card. Intuit will fulfill orders charged to valid American Express, MasterCard and Visa accounts. Be sure to enter your card number, expiration date and personal data accurately. Review this information carefully when your completed order is displayed before submitting it.
Can I use a prepaid (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) card? Yes! However, to make an online purchase you will need to register your card. You can do this by either calling the provider, or by visiting their website.
When you make an online purchase, the name, address, and phone number you use will need to be exactly the same as the information you provided when registering your card. If the information is different, the transaction may be declined. You can verify or update your information by visiting the card provider’s website or by contacting them using the number provided in your card documentation.
A: When you use your credit card to purchase products on our Web site, rest assured that your transaction information is transmitted over a secure connection. Our servers use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), an advanced encryption technology to safeguard your personal information when it is transmitted to us.
A: Make sure your credit card information was entered correctly. Verify your credit card number and expiration date. If you still don’t know the cause of the decline, inquire with your credit card company. Below are some common reasons for declined charges:
Credit card limit reached: Check your credit limit. You may have reached your daily or total credit card limit. If this is the case, ask your credit card company to increase your limit, or use a different card with a higher limit.
Maximum number of times card can be charged in a period exceeded: Check how many times your card can be charged in a given time period. If you've exceeded this amount, you can try submitting a new card. You can also talk to your credit card company about increasing this limit or simply wait until your card can be charged again.
Card doesn't accept charges from an online source: Make sure your card allows online transactions. If not, talk to your credit card company or use a different credit card.
Using a prepaid credit card?
- Your card may have expired. Check the expiry date printed on the front of your card. (It’s important to note that while your card may have expired, the funds remaining on the card do not expire. If you have a balance on your expired card, contact the financial institution that issued your card or refer to your cardholder material to learn how to order a new card. Issuers may charge a fee for this service.)
- Your remaining card balance may be less than the value of the item you wish to purchase.
- Your card may not be registered with the card issuer. Register your card by either calling the provider, or by visiting their website.
